Who runs this site, and who to contact. This page isn't indexed by search engines - you've reached it from one of our legal pages - but everything on it is current and correct.

Privacy officer

Under section 201 of the Privacy Act 2020 we must have a person responsible for making sure we meet our privacy obligations and for dealing with requests and complaints about personal information. That person is Richard Blainey, reachable at privacy@privateencounters.co.nz. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you don't have to say why.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

What this service is

Private Encounters is operated by Trend Enterprises Limited and provides fixed-fee online advertising services. Private Encounters does not provide customer wallets, cryptoasset exchange, custody, money transfer or payment processing between advertisers and clients. When you pay us, you are paying us for our own service, from your own wallet. We hold no money and no balance on anyone's behalf.

No government agency approves, endorses or licenses this site. Not the Financial Markets Authority, not the Department of Internal Affairs, not anyone. If you ever see a claim that we are government-approved, government- registered or regulator-backed, it did not come from us and it is not true.

Complaints about a listing, about moderation, or about anything that happens between an advertiser and a client are not financial-services disputes and no financial dispute-resolution scheme decides them. Bring those to us at support@privateencounters.co.nz, and a person will answer.
